The Gospel
Gospel simply means “good news”. The good news is that Jesus died on the cross in order to pay the penalty of our sin. Our sin formerly separated us from God but because of our faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection we can now have an intimate relationship with God.

Identity
When we place our faith in Jesus, we are adopted into the family of God. We are now children
of God. This means we have a loving father who will always take care of us. It also means we are no longer who we were before Christ, but rather we have a new identity. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we will grow into the person God has created us to be.

Baptism
Baptism is the outward expression of our inward commitment to Jesus. Baptism symbolizes our
death and resurrection with Jesus. Our past is buried with Christ, and we are given a new life in
Christ. If you have put your faith in Jesus, then we are called to be baptized!
